There’s little in life that is more delightful than Isabella Rossellini talking about the sex lives of creepy crawlies and creatures of the sea. (And certainly nothing cooler in the science world.) Where another might simply relay the information with a side of humor, Rossellini becomes her subject, whether it’s sliding along the ground as a snail, suffering the challenges of having her anus pressed against her head, or partaking in the praying mantis’ sex act decapitation. Best of all — the porno fun is not over! It’s just getting a new name.
The Sundance Channel has announced a new Rossellini series called Seduce Me (which should appease those uneasy with the use of “porno”). Continuing her journey through the wild kingdom, the series will concentrate “on the courting rituals of nature’s quirkiest, from bats to bed bugs.” The first season will include the following animals: duck, salmon, bed bug, cuttlefish, and snake, airing on April 20, while the second season of critters (yet to be shared) will screen this August. In addition to the clips, they’ll share behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, and photo galleries.
