Idina Menzel, the Tony Award-winning actress who most recently played Rachel’s mom on ‘Glee,’ will embark on an eleven-city tour kicking off Oct. 28 at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
In an interview with TV Squad, Menzel said she’ll be singing two songs from her time on ‘Glee,’ including the Lady Gaga song ‘Poker Face,’ which she famously sang opposite Lea Michele.
Menzel’s character, Shelby, was the coach of the rival glee club, “Vocal Adrenalin” and was revealed to be Rachel’s (Michele) mother who gave her up for adoption. At the end of the episode, Shelby told Rachel she couldn’t be a part of her life, but did adopt cheerleader Quinn’s newborn child.
