Katy Perry on 'HIMYM'Fans of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ rejoice: It’s been announced that CBS has renewed the comedy for not one, but two, more seasons. On the downside, that could mean another two years of not knowing who the mother of Ted’s children is.

The deal’s similar to the three-year one that CBS recently signed for ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ and according to Deadline, 20th Century Fox TV has done very well on the new deal, commanding almost double the usual licensing fee from CBS.

It’s the first time that ‘HIMYM’ has been renewed so early in the season, and it could be that the cast and crew have Charlie Sheen to thank for their newfound job security.
