“I’ve said this a lot to people who have sat in that chair. But I don’t think I’ve ever meant it more than right now. I am so happy to see you … alive and well.” These are the words of George Lopez, who welcomed Fantasia Barrino as his guest on the latest ‘Lopez Tonight’ (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS).
Fantasia has had a bad couple of weeks. She got involved with a married man, was named in a lawsuit by the man’s wife, and was alleged to have made a bunch of sex tapes. And then, on August 9th, following the pressure of these events, she attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. The ‘American Idol’ winner survived. And while on ‘Lopez,’ she explained her motivation for trying to kill herself.
