Terrell OwensLooks like Terrell Owens is a free agent no longer. The pro football bad boy is coming to TV for a little ‘Necessary Roughness.’

AOL TV just learned exclusively that T.O. will be putting the pads back on and hitting the field for the finale of USA’s hit new show ‘Necessary Roughness’ on Wed., Sept. 14, 10PM ET.

Owens will play All-Pro safety/cornerback Kevin “The Mine-Field” Minnifield, who’s the star player on the team that the show’s NY Hawks go up against in the playoffs. He’s also TK’s (Mehcad Brooks) lifelong rival.

That’s right: It’s TK vs. TO. Sounds like cause for an end zone celebration to me.

Owens is no stranger to TV, having received the reality TV show treatment on VH1’s ‘The T.O. Show’ back in 2009. As far as true acting though, his short resume includes a recent appearance as “T.O.” on VH1’s ‘Single Ladies.’
