‘Eureka’ - ‘Founder’s Day’ Recap (Season Premiere)

'Eureka'(S04E01) Some shows just make you smile while watching them. Even when Sheriff Carter finds himself in trouble, which would be every week thank you very much, you just smile through it. ‘Eureka’ is one of those clever shows that’s having so much fun with its own cleverness, that sense of joy just comes through the screen and infects you as well.

This premiere was about James Callis (‘Battlestar Galactica’) joining the cast, and the method of his addition has turned out to be even more innovative than I anticipated. People have come and gone from Eureka over the years, but nobody has arrived quite like this. But we’ll get more of that later.

I thought I knew what to expect with this premiere, having read a few of the teasers as to what the writers were up to, but they still managed to surprise me in the closing moments. I guess we can’t take anything for “granite” now.
