Todd’s enthusiasm for the American holiday Halloween backfired horribly on ‘Outsourced’ (Thu. 9:30PM on NBC). Now that he’s in India, he should have considered explaining the holiday to them at some point. You’d think it would have come up before this, considering the novelty company they work for surely has a Halloween-themed catalog.
He first tried scaring Rajiv with a mechanical tarantula on his desk, but rather than get spooked and laugh it off, his assistant manager proceeded to smash the thing with his keyboard until it was broken.
“I thought this was the holiday where you give out candy,” he said after Toddy tried to explain to him about Halloween pranks and the fun in scaring people. If Rajiv didn’t get it, Todd realized too late, the rest of his staff would be equally as lost.
