Is CBS looking for a little magic in its 2012 lineup? The network has reportedly ordered a ‘Bewitched’ reboot script from Sony.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, ‘Miss Congeniality’ writer Marc Lawrence will write the script and executive produce. Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher, executive producers of the 2005 film version starring Nicole Kidman, will produce the potential new comedy.
The original ‘Bewitched’ starred Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha, a witch who marries a mortal — played by Dick York and Dick Sargent. The series ran for eight seasons on ABC.
