Everything’s coming up Betty White these days! She hosted ‘SNL,’ was a guest on ‘The Daily Show,’ and now, she has her own new sitcom.
Betty stars on the series ‘Hot in Cleveland’ (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land), along with a bunch of other television veterans. Her co-stars are Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick. Together, these ladies have logged approximately one hundred million billion hours of TV time, appearing on such shows as ‘Frasier,’ ‘Just Shoot Me’ and ‘One Day at a Time.’
On the sitcom, Betty plays the caretaker for the three younger women — who have arrived in Cleveland from Los Angeles, and who are trying to adapt to Midwestern life.
The girls are attempting to start a new existence in Cleveland, but first, they must deal with Betty. On the first episode, Ms. White tries to give them some advice, but actress Jane Leeves finds herself distracted by Betty’s choice of attire — specifically, her tracksuit. “What’s the deal with old ladies and tracksuits?” she asks.
